The scan is commonly used to investigate urinary symptoms such as difficulty passing urine, frequent urination, blood in the urine, pelvic pain, urinary retention or the feeling that your bladder is not emptying properly. It can also help diagnose a range of urinary tract conditions, including an enlarged prostate, bladder abnormalities and kidney conditions. As ultrasound does not use radiation, it is a safe and effective way to assess your urinary health.
