Testicular & Scrotal Ultrasound
At ScanMe, our Testicular Ultrasound service provides a safe, non-invasive assessment of the testicles and surrounding scrotal structures using high-frequency sound waves. This scan is commonly used to investigate a testicular lump, swelling, pain, discomfort, changes in the size or shape of the testicles, or other scrotal symptoms. A Testicular Ultrasound can help assess a wide range of conditions, including epididymal cysts, hydroceles, varicoceles, inflammation and other testicular abnormalities. As ultrasound does not use radiation, it is a safe and effective way to investigate scrotal symptoms and help determine whether further assessment or treatment may be required.

What can a Testicular Ultrasound detect?
A Testicular Ultrasound can help diagnose a wide range of conditions affecting the testicles and surrounding scrotal tissues, including:
- Testicular lumps or masses
- Epididymal cysts
- Hydroceles (fluid around the testicle)
- Varicoceles (enlarged veins within the scrotum)
- Epididymitis (inflammation of the epididymis)
- Orchitis (inflammation of the testicle)
- Testicular torsion (twisting of the spermatic cord)
- Collections of fluid or blood following an injury
- Reduced blood flow to the testicle
- Spermatoceles
